The greatest healer of stress

We know that Stress is the greatest silent killer there is. Chronic stress weakens the body over time leading to chronic ailments that can eventually kill us. There is enough medical evidence that has demonstrated this over and over again. I am not going to list the many ailments it causes or describe how it weakens the body over time. There is enough information on that out there.

But what is not talked enough about in the Medical or Healing circles is the greatest healer of Stress. No, it is not some pill or even some new technology. Nor is it some breathing technique or exercise. The answer is found in the age old Human Caring and Compassion. Simply caring for someone stimulates their pleasure system (increases endorphins, dopamine, oxytocin and nitric oxide). It decreases anxiety and depression, enhances motivation and positive choice, increases well-being and decreases physical symptoms. It is indeed a Magic Pill.
